A tasty dish for all the family to enjoy combining macaroni, leeks and a rich and creamy cheese sauce. Top with cheese and bake in the oven.
Pre-heat the oven to 200°C, 400°F, Gas Mark 6.
Cook the pasta according to the packet instructions. Drain.
Meanwhile, melt the butter in a pan and fry the leeks until softened but not browned. Mix the sachet contents with the milk in a small saucepan and bring to a gentle boil, stirring.
Transfer the cooked pasta into a large ovenproof dish, stir in the leeks and pour over the cheese sauce.
Top with the grated cheese and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until bubbling and golden brown.
Why not try with fennel or asparagus, or try adding cooked bacon, ham or sausage for a more substantial dish.
