Tuna Filo Parcels
  • 2 x 200g (7oz) tins tuna - drained and flaked

  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise

  • 1/2 small red pepper, finely diced

  • 1 stick celery, thinly sliced

  • 2 teaspoon Lemon Pepper

  • 2 teaspoon Chives

  • 6 sheets filo pastry, approx. 30.5 x 15cm (12

  • 15 gram (1/2 ounce) butter, melted

  • Beaten egg, to glaze

  • Sesame Seed , , to sprinkle


  • 1 Pre-heat the oven to 190°C, 375°F, Gas Mark 5.
  • 2 Combine the tuna, mayonnaise, red pepper, celery, Lemon Pepper and Chives in a mixing bowl.
  • 3 Cut each sheet of filo pastry in half to form two squares. Brush one square with melted butter and place the second on top to form a star shape. Place approximately 1 tbs tuna mixture in the centre of the pastry, lift the pastry up around the filling and pinch together on the top. Repeat using the remaining pastry and tuna mixture.
  • 4 Brush the "parcels" with beaten egg and sprinkle with Sesame Seeds. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until lightly golden.
