Sausage and Bean Casserole

A mouth-watering, slow-cooked casserole combining sausages, beans and tomatoes with a blend of red bell peppers, oregano and basil, sure to become a family favourite.

  • Brown sausages, drain excess oil. Place browned sausages, onion and beans into your slow cooker pot.

  • Mix sachet contents with chopped tomatoes, water and tomato purée, and add to the slow cooker pot. Stir through.

  • Cover and cook for 4 hours on HIGH or 8 hours on LOW. (Keep covered during cooking. Slow Cookers vary. Directions based on a 3.5 litre Morphy Richards model.)

  • Remove lid, stir through and stand for 5 minutes before serving.

  • Delicious served with mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables.

    Slightly watery (could be the tinned tomatoes I use, so I won't add so much water or will increase the tomato puree next time) but absolutely delicious and all I can ask is that you bring out even more slow cooker packets like this.
